Apple Streusel Pizza

No need for silverware with this "pie." Enjoy a slice of apple pie in finger food form!

Ingredients

  • 1 pizza dough crust
  • 4 granny smith apples peeled, cored, and diced
  • 2 Tbsp butter divided
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 Tbsp flour
  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
  • dash vanilla extract

Streusel Topping

  • ½ cup flour
  • cup light brown sugar
  • dash salt
  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ cup butter cold and cubed

Instructions

Apples

  • Peel, core, and dice apples. Place in a bowl.
  • Add lemon juice, sugar, flour, ¼ tsp cinnamon, and vanilla to the apple and mix well.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, melt 1 Tbsp butter.
  • Cook apple mixture, stirring frequently, until apples soften (5-10 minutes). Remove from heat.
  • Add 1 Tbsp more of butter to apples and let melt.

Streusel Topping

  • In a bowl, crumb together all the streusel topping ingredients.
  • Store in the fridge until ready to use.

Pizza

  • For this recipe, you will need pizza dough spread out over a floured pizza cooking tray. Try my recipe for Perfect Pizza Dough which makes 2 pizzas worth of dough!
  • Once pizza dough is spread on floured pizza pan, spread the cooked apples and melted butter mixture all around the pizza.
  • Then, spread streusel topping over the top of the apples.
  • Bake at 450° in a preheated oven for 10-15 minutes until the crust is golden.
  • Slice and enjoy!
