Ingredients
1pizza dough crust
4granny smith applespeeled, cored, and diced
2Tbspbutterdivided
1tsplemon juice
1Tbspsugar
1Tbspflour
¼tspground cinnamon
dashvanilla extract
Streusel Topping
½cupflour
⅓cuplight brown sugar
dashsalt
¼tspground cinnamon
¼cupbuttercold and cubed
Instructions
Apples
Peel, core, and dice apples. Place in a bowl.
Add lemon juice, sugar, flour, ¼ tsp cinnamon, and vanilla to the apple and mix well.
In a skillet over medium heat, melt 1 Tbsp butter.
Cook apple mixture, stirring frequently, until apples soften (5-10 minutes). Remove from heat.
Add 1 Tbsp more of butter to apples and let melt.
Streusel Topping
In a bowl, crumb together all the streusel topping ingredients.
Store in the fridge until ready to use.
Pizza
For this recipe, you will need pizza dough spread out over a floured pizza cooking tray. Try my recipe for Perfect Pizza Dough which makes 2 pizzas worth of dough!
Once pizza dough is spread on floured pizza pan, spread the cooked apples and melted butter mixture all around the pizza.
Then, spread streusel topping over the top of the apples.
Bake at 450° in a preheated oven for 10-15 minutes until the crust is golden.
